Dr. Salehi has also more than ten years of experience in treating patients with benign and malignant brain tumors using operative techniques or via stereotactic radiation techniques such as Gamma Knife or Cyber Knife.

Dr. Salehi, MD, FAANS is a board certified neurosurgeon who completed his neurosurgical residency at Northwestern University in Chicago in 2002. He also completed a spine fellowship program under the teachings of the renowned neurosurgeon Steven Ondra while at Northwestern. Dr. Salehi remained a faculty member at Northwestern University for three years before joining Neurological Surgery and Spine Surgery. He was one of the early adopters of the minimally invasive techniques in spine surgery employing small incisions to performing the most complicated spine surgeries, hence reducing postop pain and shortening the rehabilitative period.

Dr. Salehi is a member of both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurosurgeons. He is also a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has also authored many peer-reviewed medical articles in neurosurgery and is the author of several book chapters in neurosurgical texts. Additionally, he is the designer of three neurosurgical instruments and holds three provisional patents. Dr. Salehi also serves as the team neurosurgeon for Chicago Rush arena football team since 2009.
